What your Home Energy Assessment confirms
Your Home Energy Assessment looks at how your home currently performs and what improvements could realistically make a difference.
It confirms:
- Your current BER rating
- How and where heat is being lost
- Which upgrades could improve comfort and energy efficiency
- Whether your home may be suitable for different SEAI upgrade routes
This assessment is the starting point for all SEAI grant pathways. It does not commit you to any work.
Understanding SEAI grant pathways after your assessment
After your
Home Energy Assessment, there are two possible routes. Which one applies depends on your home and your goals.
Home Energy Upgrade through the One Stop Shop
The
Home Energy Upgrade route is suitable if you want to improve multiple
areas of your home together through one coordinated plan.
This route:
- Is delivered through an SEAI registered One Stop Shop
- Aims to improve your home to a B2 BER rating or better
- Uses your Home Energy Assessment to confirm suitability
- Allows multiple grants to be applied within one managed project
Eligibility is based on factors such as:
- The age of your home
- Your current BER rating
- Whether the recommended upgrades can deliver a meaningful improvement
If
your home is suitable, your Home Energy Assessment provides the
information needed to move forward only if you choose to do so.
Individual Energy Upgrades using single measure grants
You may prefer to improve your home gradually rather than completing a full upgrade at once.
Individual Energy Upgrades allow you to:
- Complete one upgrade at a time such as insulation or solar
- Access SEAI grants for each approved measure
- Use your Home Energy Assessment as guidance rather than obligation
This route suits you if you want flexibility time to plan or a more phased approach.
What happens next after your Home Energy Assessment
After your assessment:
- You receive a clear and easy to understand report
- Your options are explained based on your home
- You decide what if anything happens next
You
may choose to move forward with a Home Energy Upgrade, focus on a
single improvement, or take time to consider your options. All are valid
outcomes. At Churchfield Home Services, the Home Energy Assessment
exists to give you a clear starting point without pressure.
If
you want to understand how SEAI grants may apply to your home and what
options genuinely suit it, a Home Energy Assessment is the right place
to start.
It gives you clarity before commitment, confidence before change, and the freedom to decide what happens next in your own time.
